Autumn has produced two very nice colored suri females for me and one very nice colored suri male when bred to quality males with colored backgrounds. Autumn's pedigree is very unique in that one of her distant relatives was a black huacaya (an accident during importation). Some spinners claim this creates a very nice wool to work with. If working with the wool and perhaps having your own small herd is something you are looking for I would highly recommend taking a look at Autumn. If the look of the suri is appealing to you, not to worry, Autumn will only produce suri offspring when bred to suri. I do not favor the crossing of huacaya and suri myself. I think each should remain separate, but these alpacas are out there and they are still beautiful, pure alpacas, none the less. They make it possible for those who don't have the budget for the higher priced ones and merely want a small herd to experience the joy these animals bring. Autumn will deliver another gorgeous cria this fall. She is bred to Hardy(Bruxo's Hard Day's Night). Hardy is covered in fleece from the tip of his nose to his toes, with luster everywhere. Hardy was shorn the first time at 6 months of age and his regrowth was amazing with beautiful locks and luster. This is the first time I have bred Autumn to a light colored male so it will be interesting to see what color she has. There is so much dark coloring in her pedigree that I am betting the cria will be a dark color. Hardy is also bred to Autumn's daughter Whisper who is due in late summer. These are the first cria for Hardy.
